On Aug 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 21 new cases of confirmed infections (20 imported cases, 7 in Yunnan province, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Shanxi province, 1 in Liaoning province, 1 in Fujian province, 1 in Henan province and 1 in Sichuan province; 1 indigenous case in Yunnan), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 107 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,802 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 2.
As of 24:00 on Aug 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 8,228 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 7,571 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 657 confirmed cases (including 8 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Aug 27, the National Health Commission had received reports of 94,786 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 88,805 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 1,345 confirmed cases (including 10 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 1,160,911 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 25,805 were still under medical observation.
On Aug 27, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 10 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 16 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 14 imported cases) and 4 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Aug 27, 453 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 380 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Aug 27, 28,111 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 12,094 in Hong Kong (212 had died and 11,779 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 63 in Macao (59 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 15,954 in Taiwan (833 had died and 13,669 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
