Thanks to Hechi's continuous efforts for rural revitalization, rural areas are now greener and more comfortable to live in. Walking in the rural areas in Hechi, one can see houses with local traditional characteristics and an ethnic minority culture.
At the beginning year of 14th Five-year Plan (2021-25), the city set up the rural revitalization bureau and put forward a five-year action plan to deepen rural revitalization.
In recent years, the city has completely changed its old rural appearance by constructing facades, vegetable and fruit gardens, greening and lighting projects as well as high-speed rail and highways.
This year, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has issued Hechi's first batch of 3,778 rural housing renovation tasks, and all of which have been completed with a completion rate of 100 percent. The second batch of 7,399 rural housing renovation tasks were issued in mid-May. So far, 3,308 houses have been started with an operating rate of 44.71 percent. In addition, the autonomous region has issued the city's first batch of 7,027 renovating villages, and currently 6,760 villages have started construction and 5,096 villages have been renovated.
