In the first half of this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province focused on developing its digital economy and realized the high-quality development of its big data industry.
From January to June, the business income of software and information technology services in Guizhou increased by 69.2 percent year-on-year, ranking second in China in terms of growth rate.
This year, Guizhou's eight software and information technology service enterprises were approved as major provincial service enterprises and will receive financial and policy support from the government to realize further development.
During the first half of this year, Guizhou's 7,500 enterprises integrated with big data and 23,000 enterprises started using cloud computing services. More than 36,000 enterprises launched 88,000 products at Guizhou's official e-commerce platform "One Ma Guizhou" (一码贵州), generating 7.62 billion yuan ($1.18 billion) in trade.
All of Guizhou's government affairs at the county, municipal, and provincial levels can be handled online, and Guizhou has also provided more than 1.9 million remote medical services.
By June, Guizhou had built more than 30,000 5G base stations and 1.4 million kilometers of communication optical cables, and its outbound bandwidth reached 19,500 gigabits per second.
