Hangzhou in East China's Zhejiang province published an action plan for constructing a demonstration city of common prosperity on July 28.
The plan is in response to Zhejiang's decision to build a demonstration zone for achieving common prosperity.
According to the plan, Hangzhou will by 2025 boast a livable environment, a favorable business environment as well as convenient access to public services and a high quality of life.
By that year, the per capita GDP in Hangzhou will exceed 180,000 yuan ($28,000), the main business income of the digital economy's core industries will be doubled to more than 2 trillion yuan, and the city will own 100,000 patents for invention.
In addition, the per capita disposal income of residents in Hangzhou will amount to 85,000 yuan and the number of families with an annual disposable income of between 100,000 yuan and 500,000 yuan will account for 85 percent of all families in the city.
The development gap between regions in the city will be further narrowed as the ratio of per capita disposable income of residents in Fuyang, Lin'an, Tonglu, Chun'an, and Jiande to the municipal average will reach 0.75.
The average life expectancy in Hangzhou will exceed 83.88 and the area of public cultural facilities per 10,000 residents in the city will total 5,000 square meters.
In addition, the city will further advance its assistance to western China by 2025 and 90 percent of its aid capital is expected to improve the wellbeing of local residents.
