Belgian textile equipment manufacturer to invest more in WND

A group of representatives from Vandewiele (China) Textile Machinery Co, a textile equipment manufacturer, visited Wuxi National Hi-tech District on Aug 12.

The company, which is a subsidiary of Belgian company Vandewiele Group, will expand its investment in WND as its Chinese headquarters and bring more projects to China, according to Ola Samuelsson, director of Vandewiele (China) Textile Machinery Co.

Samuelsson expressed thanks to WND for its care and support over the years. He said that since last year, the company has overcome the impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic and maintained investment in the research and development of new products. The products were recognized globally, as well as achieved growing orders and profits.

He added that he expected the company would promote cooperation with WND to build a green, low-carbon, and smart Chinese headquarters in the district.

Founded in 1880, Vandewiele Group focuses on the research and development, manufacturing, as well as installation of carpet and velvet looms. It is well-known over the world for its high quality and high technology.

Vandewiele (China) Textile Machinery Co was built in WND in 1998, focusing on the research and development, production, as well as sales of textile machinery loom control systems and jacquard machines. It was awarded with the designation of being a provincial demonstration workshop in 2019. The company's sales in 2020 exceeded 560 million yuan ($86.4 million).
