The China International Big Data Industry Expo, or Big Data Expo, is the first exhibition in the world with a theme centered on big data. Having been successfully held six times since 2015, the expo has become a grand and global gathering to share the latest achievements in the big data industry.
The event is jointly hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Cyberspace Administration, and the Guizhou Provincial People’s Government.
Held annually in May in Guizhou’s Guiyang city, the expo highlights “Global Vision,” “National Interests,” “Industry Roles,” and “Corporate Responsibilities.”
Over the past four years, the expo has been carefully planned to provide the ultimate aesthetic experience. Relevant, safe, and highly successful, the expo has broken its own records repeatedly in terms of the level of guests, organizational innovation, scale, and achievements.
The Big Data Expo 2021 was held in the provincial capital Guiyang, both online and offline, with the theme: "embrace digital intelligence, deliver new development". The expo showcased over 800 of the latest high-tech products, technologies and solutions, and attracted nearly 100,000 visitors.
During the expo, a total of 144 contract projects, worth 56.56 billion yuan ($8.88 billion), were signed. Among the projects, 94 were big data integration industry projects worth 43.08 billion yuan, while 50 projects, in the big data electronic information industry, were worth 13.48 billion yuan.
Meanwhile, tech enterprises such as Huawei, PCITECH and XUNYOU signed strategic cooperation framework agreements with government departments.
