Huanjiang promotes high-quality industrial development

Since the beginning of this year, Hechi's Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county has actively taken a series of measures to promote the high-quality development of the county's industrial economy.

From January to June this year, the county recorded a total industrial output value of 1.12 billion yuan ($173 million), a year-on-year increase of 17.8 percent. It also tallied an industrial added value of 260 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14 percent, and achieved a total industrial output value of 970 million yuan from enterprises above designated size, which is an increase of 36.6 percent year on year. Meanwhile, two new enterprises above designated size were established. The investment in industrial projects was 270 million yuan, and the fixed asset investment was 150 million yuan, completing 53.6 percent of its annual target.

The county has vigorously promoted the development of key industrial projects. Since this year, the county has promoted the construction of a sewage treatment plant project in the Huanjiang Industrial Park, launched construction workshops in  the electronic technology industrial park, and accelerated the road network project in the migrant worker pioneer park. This promotional push will create development space for industrial agglomeration, and provide strong support for industrial investment.

The county has strengthened exchanges with large enterprises outside the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and actively participated in promotional exhibitions and commerce activities. Up to now, the county has negotiated with more than 20 batches of important merchants, docked eight projects and introduced one major project, namely, the China Huaneng Group's gas storage base project with a total investment of 10 billion yuan.

The county has also made efforts to optimize the business environment by helping enterprises carry out online recruitment, provide tax reduction services, promote tax preferential policies and facilitate export tax rebates.
