The tourism commodity and creative culture products competition Beijing Gifts was launched on July 29.
The competition is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.
It calls for products that display the capital city's geological and cultural features and integrate fashion and utility.
"We hope to strengthen the planning and guidance of the city's cultural and creative products through the competition," said Zhang Jing, head of the bureau's resources development division.
The goal is to encourage social forces to participate in the development of products that reflect the capital's history and cultural resources and can be applied to life, said Zhang.
The Beijing bureau will collect works from the public until September 15, and experts will review them from September 16-30.
Participants can submit their works here.
