The maiden-flight ceremony for North China's Shanxi province's first international cargo air route was held at Taiyuan Wusu International Airport on June 26.
China Southern Airlines flight CZ8111, loaded with 35 metric tons of international mail and e-commerce goods, took off from provincial capital Taiyuan to San Francisco in the United States on the day. According to plan, the flight service will be operated once a week.
The opening of the international cargo air route marked a milestone in the construction of an international modern logistics hub in Shanxi. It will further promote Shanxi in expanding imports and exports and developing new markets overseas.
In the future, Shanxi will formulate supporting policies for the development of international air cargo in a timely manner, expand international routes and promote the expansion and strength of the international air cargo market in the province.
Meanwhile, Taiyuan Wusu International Airport will strictly implement the pandemic prevention and control requirements and do a good job in disinfection, detection and supervision work to eliminate the risk of COVID-19 infection and ensure the smooth operation of airport logistics.
