In accordance with the latest work requirements of the State and Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the COVID-19 vaccines is available for Hechi's residents aged between 12 and 17 in the second half of 2021, according to the Hechi COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters on July 20.
Hechi will expand its scope of vaccinating, and focus on the elderly and the young. The elderly refers to people over 60 years old, and the young refers to the people aged between 12 and 17 years old.
People aged between 15 and 17 years old should get their first vaccination as soon as possible and get the second dose in August. The first dose of COVID-19 vaccines for youths aged between 12 and 14 years old will be administered in August.
Teenagers can make appointments and receive the vaccinations at schools and in their communities. Schools serve as local epidemic prevention and control headquarters to carry out the vaccination work. In addition, parents can make appointments for their children through the online appointment management platforms and get vaccinations in their communities.
Because those aged between 12 and 17 years old are juveniles, their parents or guardians are required to accompany the youths during the vaccination process, and bring both the parent's and children's ID cards and sign the required paperwork. It is recommended that there be at least a 21-day interval between the first COVID-19 vaccination and the second vaccination.
