A forum themed on the cultivation of Chinese-speaking talents for the industry development in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative wrapped up at the China University of Petroleum, Beijing on July 11.
During the three-day event, 90 experts from more than 50 universities, including Xiamen University, Beijing Language and Culture University, Tongji University and the China University of Political Science and Law, attended the online or offline seminars to discuss how to push forward the development of Chinese language education internationally.
Zhao Xiufeng, director of the school of foreign languages at the China University of Petroleum, Beijing said the forum has met the urgent need of improving international education of Chinese language. And the university will keep cultivating Chinese-speaking talents in the energy sector. The academic circles should actively conduct interdisciplinary studies on professional Chinese.
