Hechi promotes construction of major projects

In the beginning year of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25), the city of Hechi has made efforts to promote the construction of major projects, such as a non-ferrous metal material park, a cocoon and silk industry cluster, the Guilin-Nanning High-speed Railway and the Hezhou-Bama Expressway.

Du'an-Bama Expressway was opened for trial operations on July 1. The expressway connects central Guangxi and East China, and it not only solves traffic problems for local Yao people, but also drives local economic development.

The Chengjiang Double-Line Bridge was completed two months ahead of schedule, which is good news with regards to the construction of the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway. The bridge is 15.5 kilometers in length and is currently the largest and most complex to construct in Southwest China.

As of the second quarter of this year, investment in the construction of transportation infrastructure projects, such as the Guiyang-Nanning High-speed Railway and seven expressways, has totaled 15.76 billion yuan ($2.43 billion), with a year-on-year increase of 106.36 percent.

In addition to high-speed railways and expressways, other major projects in the city have also accelerated in construction.

Builders have set off a construction boom in Nanfang Nonferrous Group's production base in Nandan county. Its lead-zinc base has developed into the largest lead-zinc production base in China. The company's output of zinc ingots ranks first in the country, and their comprehensive strength ranks them among the top three in the national lead-zinc industry.

In addition, Hechi Nandan Nonferrous Metal Industrial Park is listed as one of the 10 key parks in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Lugang Bonded Logistics Park infrastructure project has been launched with a total investment of 2.69 billion yuan. The city has also made steady progress in the development of a cocoon and silk industrial park.

Hechi has optimized the business environment, and achieved more efficient services for enterprises and the public this year. Meanwhile, it also ensures that a batch of projects can be put into effect to promote Hechi's high-quality development.
