The 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services will be held from Sept 2 to 7 in Beijing, Beijing Youth Daily reported on Tuesday.
The annual fair will focus on global hot topics this year, such as the digital economy and carbon neutrality. More than 100 forums, meetings and promotion events will be held.
A digital service exhibition zone will be set during the fair this year for the first time, covering an area of 11,000 square meters of the total 130,000 exhibition area. So far 39 firms, including Amazon, Cannon, NEC, Alibaba and BOE, have applied to join the digital service exhibition.
CIFTIS this year will be held online and offline simultaneously, as the pandemic is not yet under control globally, said Chen Chunjiang, director-general of the commerce ministry's department of trade in services and commercial services.
