Closing ceremony of 10th "Shanghai Summer School - The Diplomats' Program" held successfully

On July 10, the closing ceremony of 10th "Shanghai Summer School - The Diplomats' Program" was held successfully. This program is jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government, and organized by East China Normal University. Chen Yongliang, deputy director of the Consular Office of Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office, Huang Meixu, director of the ECNU Global Education Center, and Shanghai-based diplomats from around the world all attended the ceremony.

This year's program had a perfect ending, with a final event titled the "Mandarin Show". The Diplomats' Program has real significance in terms of promoting cultural exchanges and friendship among different people.

The program, which runs from March to June every year, also achieved success this year with some high quality Chinese courses and diverse cultural activities, like a Song Dynasty cultural immersion experience, a lecture on Chinese medicine, a lecture on China's foreign trade during the pandemic, and more.

The Diplomat Program is one of the most influential boutique programs of all the Shanghai Summer School programs. It has been running for ten years now, and during this time the Global Education Center has provided a quality platform for language learning and cultural exchanges for diplomats from consulates in Shanghai.
