On July 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 17 new cases of confirmed infections (15 imported cases, 8 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Fujian province, 2 in Henan province, 2 in Guangdong province and 1 in Sichuan province; 2 indigenous cases in Yunnan province), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both were imported cases in Shanghai), and no deaths. 28 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 805 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.

In all, 6,333 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 418 confirmed cases (including 5 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on July 7, the National Health Commission had received reports of 91,966 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 86,883 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 447 confirmed cases (including 5 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases. 1,064,151 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,167 were still under medical observation.
On July 7, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 10 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 8 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 3 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on July 7, 470 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 464 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on July 7, 27,128 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,945 in Hong Kong (212 had died and 11,643 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 55 in Macao (53 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 15,128 in Taiwan (715 had died and 11,277 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
