Huangpu sets up hub to boost free flow of talents

A plaque was unveiled on July 2 for the opening of the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) Liberty Hub for International Talents, as well as the Guangdong Demonstration Center for Doctoral and Post-doctoral Innovation.

The project is located in Huangpu district, and has a planned space of nearly 3,000 square meters. It includes functional areas such as the talent service hall, the exhibition hall, the road show hall, the overseas talents introduction workstation, the high-level talents' studio and the scientists' office.

As one of the key incubation platforms in CSGKC, the hub will establish the first overseas talent innovation and entrepreneurship service center in China, the first overseas talent attraction network to be aimed at Singapore and European countries, and a national-level doctoral and post-doctoral innovation demonstration center.

After it begins operations, it will provide innovation, entrepreneurship and living services for international talents in Huangpu district, creating powerful intelligence and talent support to give the knowledge city global influence.

To build a national-level knowledge center with global influence, it is necessary to gather and cultivate a group of world-class innovation teams and talents. The Guangdong demonstration center for doctoral and post-doctoral innovation came into being for this reason.

The center will introduce high-level talents and help facilitate innovative technological achievements. It will focus on the innovation management and service mechanism of high-level talents, and promote the transformation and commercial application of their technological achievements.
