The second China-Japan International Development Cooperation Policy Consultation (DG Level) was held via video link on June 22.
Tian Lin, director-general of the Department of International Cooperation of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), and Kazuya Nashida, director-general of the International Cooperation Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, co-chaired the consultation.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the CIDCA, China's ministries of foreign affairs, commerce, science and technology and National Health Commission, as well as from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs' International Cooperation Bureau, ODA Evaluation Division, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Japanese Embassy in China.
The two sides exchanged views on the progress of China-Japan international development cooperation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, system building, white paper publication, monitoring and evaluation, and the direction of their future cooperation.
