On June 17, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 23 new cases of confirmed infections (22 imported cases, 8 in Guangdong province, 5 in Fujian province, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Zhejiang province, 2 in Yunnan province and 1 in Tianjin municipality; 1 indigenous case in Guangdong), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 13 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 1,114 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 2.
As of 24:00 on June 17, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 6,351 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 5,998 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 353 confirmed cases (including 5 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.
As of 24:00 on June 17, the National Health Commission had received reports of 91,534 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 86,397 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 501 confirmed cases (including 18 cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case. 1,045,718 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 15,451 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on June 17, 436 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 415 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 17, 25,517 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,881 in Hong Kong (210 had died and 11,603 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 52 in Macao (51 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 13,584 in Taiwan (497 had died and 1,133 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
