Based on one of its collection items, a gold seal with a knob in the shape of a pair of crouching dragons, the Palace Museum designed a dragon-shaped handmade soap and essential oil container.
As the phoenix was an auspicious totem in ancient China, the designer combined a phoenix motif from a seal and a mirror together to make the two soaps with essential oil look like colored glass.

The legend of the nine-color deer is so engaging and the depiction of it on the walls in the Dunhuang Mogao grotto is so full of vigor that the Dunhuang Museum jointly designed its cosmetics products with Carslan, a leading cosmetic brand in China, to adopt this image. The mural of the nine-color deer was printed on eyebrow pencils, lip gloss, eye shadow, and highlighting powders. These products may remind consumers of the "tale of the deer" when they are holding them in front of a mirror.
