Jiao Hong, Commissioner of China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), and Dr. Penny K. Lukito, Chairperson of Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM), recently signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Medical Products Administration of the People's Republic of China and the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority of the Republic of Indonesia on Regulatory Cooperation in the Field of Pharmaceutical Products and Cosmetics.
The MoU is one of the achievements of the first meeting of the China-Indonesia high-level dialogue mechanism.
In order to jointly respond to global public health challenges, China's NMPA and Indonesian BPOM have agreed to strengthen regulatory cooperation. The two sides will carry out information exchanges and technological collaboration in regulation of pharmaceutical products and cosmetics under the framework of the MoU and work together to protect and promote public health in the two countries.
