June 14: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 23 new cases of confirmed infections (19 imported cases, 5 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Sichuan province, 3 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 3 in Guangdong province, 2 in Yunnan province, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Jiangsu province; 4 indigenous cases in Guangdong), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 11 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 376 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.
As of 24:00 on June 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 6,275 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 5,953 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 322 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 91,451 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 86,344 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 471 confirmed cases (including 13 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 1,039,286 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 12,885 were still under medical observation.
On June 13, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 24 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 12 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 3 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 13, 391 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 369 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 13, 24,850 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,877 in Hong Kong (210 had died and 11,598 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 52 in Macao (51 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 12,921 in Taiwan (437 had died and 1,133 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
