June 13: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 34 new cases of confirmed infections (28 imported cases, 7 in Guangdong province, 6 in Shanghai municipality, 5 in Yunnan province, 3 in Sichuan province, 2 in Tianjin municipality, 2 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Jiangsu province, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Shaanxi province; 6 indigenous cases in Guangdong), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 21 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 643 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 1.
As of 24:00 on June 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 6,256 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 5,943 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 313 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 12, the National Health Commission had received reports of 91,428 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 86,333 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 459 confirmed cases (including 13 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 1,037,435 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 11,411 were still under medical observation.
On June 12, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 18 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 12 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 7 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 12, 382 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 360 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 12, 24,675 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,877 in Hong Kong (210 had died and 11,595 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 52 in Macao (51 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 12,746 in Taiwan (411 had died and 1,133 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
