Children's Day gala celebrates national unity

To celebrate International Children's Day, which falls on June 1, the gala We Grow Together, My Country and Me was held on May 31 at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

Co-organized by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF), the gala gathered over 1,000 child and adult singers and dancers, combining singing, dancing, traditional Chinese opera and drama performed over three acts.

Programs highlighted major events, including the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

On June 5, the gala will be broadcast on TV and streamed on the NCPA’s online classic music channel.
