Economy
Hechi's five pillar industries include nonferrous metal, electricity, food processing, textile and chemical engineering. In 2018, Hechi recorded a GDP of 78.83 billion yuan ($11.63 billion), with a growth rate of 6.4 percent. The disposable income per capita of urban and rural residents was 27,468 yuan and 9,177 yuan respectively, an increase of 7.1 percent and 11.1 percent, ranking second and first in Guangxi.
Hechi has also taken many measures to establish solid trade ties with ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), the Yizhou-ASEAN International Cocoon Silk Trading Center included, benefiting each other and witnessing more extensive cooperation.
Administrative divisions
Hechi city governs nine counties - Nandan county, Tian'e county, Fengshan county, Donglan county, Bama Yao autonomous county, Du'an Yao autonomous county, Dahua Yao autonomous county, Luocheng Mulam autonomous county and Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, and two districts - Jinchengjiang district and Yizhou district.
