Xi'an Guanzhong bonded zone passes national acceptance

Recently, Xi'an Guanzhong Comprehensive Bonded Zone successfully passed national acceptance, contributing to the development of Shaanxi province's export-oriented economy.

Approved to be established in May 2020, the bonded zone was integrated and upgraded from the A and B areas of Shaanxi Xi'an Export Processing Zone, with a planned area of 1.54 square kilometers.

It has formed an industrial system based on aviation and parts manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, semiconductor equipment research and development, chip testing and packaging, and machining.

As of the end of 2020, 75 enterprises had settled in the bonded zone.

In the first quarter of this year, the zone realized an import and export volume of 31.58 billion yuan ($4.91 billion), accounting for 32.3 percent of Shaanxi's total volume.

Currently, Xi'an has six special customs supervision zones: Xi'an Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Xi'an High-tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Shaanxi Xixian Bonded Logistics Center, Xi'an Airport Comprehensive Bonded Logistics Center, Xi'an Aviation Base Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Xi'an Guanzhong Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
