A new version of Golden Mask Dynasty, an iconic stage show at the Beijing Happy Valley amusement park, premiered on May 28, using modern technology to tell a mythological story.
The dance drama first premiered in 2007 and went through four upgrades in the 14 years since. This new version incorporates traditional cultural elements from the ancient text Classic of Mountains and Seas and recent discoveries from the Sanxingdui archaeological site.
Innovative stage designs are a highlight of this new rendition, as the show uses more than 400 lights, a 4K LED screen of 686 square meters, four 3LCD projectors and a 180-degree stage to bring the audience an immersive experience.
Along with the dance drama, Beijing Happy Valley will also provide a Golden Mask Dynasty stage design exhibition, a conceptual museum about the Sanxingdui archaeological findings and a digital immersive exhibition on Eastern mythology.
