The classical Qinqiang Opera work Contending for Lu’an County was staged in Xi’an city, Northwest China’s Shaanxi province, on May 24. A signature performance art of Shaanxi, Qinqiang Opera started in the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC) and was added to the country's list of intangible cultural heritage in 2006.
