The First-Aid Center for Intellectual Property on Automobile and Parts, located in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), has streamlined its working processes and enhanced its efficiency, with design patent authorization work now completed within three days, according to local media reports.
The center recently accepted nine pre-examination applications for design patents from Dongfeng Yuexiang Technology Co. The pre-examination was completed in less than one day. After the pre-examination was passed, all of the nine design patents were authorized within three working days.
Prior to this, Dongfeng Yuexiang Technology Co applied for authorization through the center for two design patent products - an unmanned smart bus (Sharing-Bus) and a land-air integrated solution (Sharing-Aircraft) - which were exhibited at Auto Shanghai on April 19.
As Wuhan eyes innovation to drive economic growth, protection of intellectual property is of greater importance than before in key areas and core technologies. In 2019, the First-Aid Center for Intellectual Property started operation in WHDZ, which specializes in handling disputes in the automobile sector, while also providing IP review, IP protection and mediation services for enterprises in need around Hubei province.
So far, the center has passed 41 appearance design patent pre-examinations, of which 40 have obtained patent authorization, 25 e-commerce infringement judgments have been completed, and two trademark infringement reports and complaints have been received and transferred.
