The third China Rose Product Expo opened in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, on May 7.
Nearly 200 people attended the event, including envoys from Bulgaria, Colombia, Turkey, and other major rose planting countries, well-known academicians, experts and scholars at home and abroad, as well as entrepreneurs.
Participants shared their insights on how to accelerate international exchanges and cooperation in the rose industry, while integrating China's dual circulation development pattern.
Sun Shutao, mayor of Jinan, said at the opening ceremony that Jinan has a rose planting history of more than 1,300 years. With a superior environment and a solid industry foundation, Jinan enjoys unique advantages and broad prospects for the development of its rose industry.
Sun added that he hopes that Jinan can use the expo as an opportunity to promote pragmatic exchanges and cooperation with more countries and regions in more fields, and to build it into a platform for mutual learning.
More than 120 rose industry enterprises from seven countries participated in the expo. The event also hosted a series of promotional activities, including a rose industry forum and a tour of the booming Pingyin rose industry. Guests also expressed their views during a roundtable dialogue on the development of the rose industry.
