More than 20 Hong Kong-funded firms including the world-class property company Kerry Properties Limited and the AI technologies powerhouse Sense Time, gathered in Beijing's Daxing district on May 14 to seek business opportunities.
The delegation paid field trip at exhibition halls of the Beijing Free Trade Innovation Service Center and the Beijing Bioengineering and Pharmaceutical Base which demonstrate the location and policy advantages of Daxing, to have a better understanding of the district's industrial development and business environment.
While sitting on new international airport and developed intercity traffic in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Daxing has also enjoy multiple favorable policies of a national integrated demonstration zone to open the service sector wider, the Beijing Free Trade Zone and the Zhongguancun Science Park.
Amy Siu, chairperson of the HKCCC, proposed that the organization will take advantage of information and resource platform to facilitate exchanges of trade, technology, talent and culture with Daxing.
Companies involving in commercial real estate, technological services, cultural and creative industries also expressed their strong desire for in-depth cooperation with Daxing district.
The district committee's Party secretary Zhou Liyun extended a warm welcome to guests, and expressed his willingness to establish a long-term friendly cooperative relationship with the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce.
