On May 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 14 new cases of confirmed infections (all were imported cases, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Sichuan province, 2 in Fujian province, 1 in Hunan province, 1 in Guangdong province, 1 in Chongqing municipality and 1 in Shaanxi province), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Inner Mongolia autonomous region), and no deaths. 10 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 642 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.

In all, 5,506 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 279 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on May 10, the National Health Commission had received reports of 90,783 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 85,845 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 302 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 1,012,557 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 5,848 were still under medical observation.
On May 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 25 new asymptomatic cases (all were imported cases). 22 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 4 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on May 10, 318 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 312 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on May 10, 13,059 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,811 in Hong Kong (210 had died and 11,496 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 49 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 1,199 in Taiwan (12 had died and 1,089 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
