Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Shanghai's Songjiang district received about 476,400 visitors during the five-day May Day holiday that ended on May 5, local media reported.
The resort, which is home to many major tourism attractions, was listed as one of the city's most popular destinations during the holiday, according to official statistics.
On May 2, the resort's Shanghai Happy Valley broke its record in both the number of visitors and revenue in a day during May Day holidays.
It held a Super Childhood Festival, which featured a variety of activities like performances by idols and internet celebrities, as well as children's plays, during the holiday, attracting many visitors.
One of the most popular spots in the resort, Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, received over 108,400 visitors during the holiday.
