The 16th Art Beijing will "make a big and renewed comeback" Friday and run to Monday after a one-year delay due to the pandemic, organizers said.
Held annually since 2006, Art Beijing is widely considered the largest art expo in the Chinese capital.
Covering an area of nearly 20,000 square meters in Hall 1 and 11 of the National Agricultural Exhibition Center in downtown Beijing, this year's Art Beijing includes five major sections -- Contemporary Art, Classic Art, Photo Beijing, Design Art, and Public Art. It will present a myriad of art works from about 150 art institutions selected from across Asia, according to Dong Mengyang, founder of the art fair.
"Art Beijing is not a local event for local artists and communities," Dong said. "On the one hand, we focus on works by the most active homegrown artists. On the other, we keep a close watch on the wave-riders in art scenes all over Asia."
