Volvo Cars launched its new XC60 at the Shanghai auto show, featuring the Swedish carmaker’s latest generation intelligent interconnectivity system.
The launch of the new SUV was accompanied by an announcement that Volvo and Didi Chuxing, the world's leading mobile travel service platform, will carry out cross-border research and development on autonomous driving related technologies.
The XC60 is powered by a 2-liter turbocharged engine and 48-volt light hybrid system which utilizes kinetic energy recovery and reduces fuel consumption.
The new model is equipped with Volvo’s Pilot Assist system and the City Safety system, which combine to add another guarantee of safety to the vehicle, according to the carmaker.
