Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will build a metropolitan area centered on Guiyang and Guian New Area, according to the recently released plan to build a provincial capital with strong economic power.
The metropolitan area will include Guiyang, Guian, Anshun and Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, all of which are located within a one-hour drive of each other and have a combined population of more than 10 million people.
Guiyang will rely on the expressway loop through Xiuwen county, Wudang district, Guiding county, Longli county, Huishui county, Changshun county, Pingba district and Qingzhen city to boost the high-speed development of cities in central Guizhou.
The high-speed railway stations, inner-city rail transit and urban road network can help to expand the scale of the cities.
