The top 10 counties in China by industrial internet development were unveiled by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology during the Digital China Summit in Fujian on Monday, China News Service reported.
Kunshan, Zhangjiagang, Cixi, Jiangyin, Jinjiang, Changshu, Taicang, Changsha (county), Fuqing and Yuyao made the list. Seven are located in the coverage area of the nation's big data subcenters for industrial internet.
According to the ministry, the average number of established 5G base stations in the top counties is more than 2,000, and the average number of local enterprises on the cloud is over 3,000. On average, 1,000 industrial enterprises were above the designated size in each of the top 10 counties.
The counties' gross regional domestic product, fueled by industrial internet, grew more than 95 billion yuan ($14.64 billion) in 2020, the ministry said, adding industrial added value exceeded 100 billion yuan on average.
