Honda has announced at the Shanghai auto show that it will introduce 10 new electric vehicles to the Chinese market.
The Honda SUV E:Prototype debuts atthe auto show as the carmaker's preview for a forthcoming electric crossover. The production version for the Chinese market will go on sale in spring 2022.It will also feature a global roll-out.
The SUV will be equipped with the third-generation Honda CONNECT, which enables functions including connectivity and over-the-air updates. This feature will become available in China in the latter part of this year.
Honda is also debuting a plug-in version of its Breeze crossover at the Shanghai auto show. The model has a two-motor electric portion of the powertrain. The vehicle will go on sale in China in the second half of 2021.
The Breeze PHEV will be the first plug-in hybrid manufactured by GAC Honda, Honda’s Chinese joint venture.
