On the streets of the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar, a landmark of Urumqi and a renowned 4A tourist attraction displaying cultural relics, exhibition boards chronicling the history of Xinjiang and VR devices enable visitors to get more information about the relics.
That's part of an event, "Movable Museum", which allows exhibitions about Xinjiang's culture, religion and other aspects to tour across the region. It is held by the region's Department of Culture and Tourism and kicked off on Wednesday.
By visiting communities, schools and villages, it will let people from different ethnic groups learn more about the region and its connection with the country.
The cultural relics and historical stories show that Xinjiang has long been an inseparable part of Chinese territory and all ethnic groups of China have created a long history and splendid culture over the past five millennia.
