IM, a premium electric car brand set up by SAIC Motor and Alibaba, started presales of its first vehicle at the Shanghai auto show.
The sedan, called L7, is priced at 408,800 yuan and will be delivered from the first quarter 2022, said the carmaker.
The model features SAIC’s Service-oriented Architecture, which is an onboard system that enables coders to upload apps that can be downloaded into vehicles.
The L7 sedan sports a 93 kWh battery pack that drives the vehicle for up to 655 kilometers on one charge. And the battery pack can be charged wirelessly.
The vehicle has a maximum output of 400 kW and a top torque of 700 Nm. It can finish the sprint from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.7 seconds.
Smart driving features are its highlight. It has 27 sensors, including radars and cameras, and features vehicle-to-everything technology.
The vehicle has autonomous driving solutions including the automatic valet parking.
In terms of smart cabin functions, the vehicle features a 39-inch display, and its Carlog function enables the vehicle to shoot short videos and share them online.
Besides, the vehicle has an audio system composed of 22 speakers and four microphones to offer a theater-level experience for drivers and passengers.
