Hechi held a series of cultural tourism activities during Sanyuesan Festival, which this year took place from April 14 to 17, receiving a total of 1.09 million tourists with an overall tourist spend of 657 million yuan ($101 million).
Various cultural events - such as exhibitions of ethnic costumes, traditional sports competitions, promotions of local delicacies, bronze drum culture shows, and folk song contests - were held throughout the city during the festival.
Self-driving tours were the most popular way to travel in Hechi. With the improvement of rural tourism infrastructure, as well as the growing number of leisure and entertainment projects, more citizens are choosing rural tourism to try out local meals, experience rural life and get closer to nature.
Hechi has taken the Sanyuesan Festival as a key opportunity, organizing hundreds of enterprises and internet anchors to carry out offline and online promotions. Its e-commerce livestreaming shopping events have further stimulated the holiday consumption market in Hechi.
