The new lion logo will be used, among other things, in its showrooms and vehicles. The logo will appear in at least 40 showrooms this year, and the other will renew their logos within three years.
The first model with the new logo will come out in 2022, said the joint venture.
The carmaker launched its family of SUVs, including the 4008, the 4008 plug-in hybrid and the 5008, at the Shanghai auto show.
They are the first vehicles to hit the market after Peugeot unveiled the new logo.

In a video message, Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson said China is one of the most important markets for the brand, and the models feature the brand’s latest design and technology and are expected to appeal to local customers.
