The course is diverse in format and rich in content. Various forms: Remote broadcasting, video recording and face-to-face teaching to suit different learners
Rich contents: Improves abilities in Chinese expression, reading and writing, provides online academic lectures on Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage

Curriculum:
SHU provides five levels of Chinese courses as following:
A level (Beginners), B level (Elementary), C level (Pre-Intermediate), D level (Intermediate), E level (Advanced). Students can choose the right grade for them according to the self-test criteria.
Chinese traditional culture online academic lectures:
SHU provides online academic lectures on traditional Chinese culture for international students, covering Intangible Cultural Heritage such as Chinese calligraphy, opera, music, embroidery, paper cutting, martial arts, tea art and other traditional cultures.
04 Program Certificate
An electronic transcript with 20 credits and an electronic completion certificate will be issued to students who successfully complete the program and pass the examinations.
05 Procedures
Please follow the application procedure illustration (Article 6).
Pay your tuition fees, and send proof of payment (Remittance receipt or screenshot can be used as proof) by email to apply6@oa.shu.edu.cn before August 31, 2021.
After receiving the email confirming your payment, SHU will send a self-test by which you can determine your Chinese proficiency. Students will assess their Chinese proficiency according to the standard, confirm their level, and inform the school before September 5.
From September 6-10, the school will post course instructions. All new students should register online. Students participating in the online course should test the teaching platform.
Students can apply for a class change within one week after the course starts.
Any group with fewer than five students will be merged.
06 How to Apply
Please log in to the Shanghai University online application website at https://apply.shu.edu.cn for registration
STEP 1
Click “Apply Now” and sign up with your email address.
STEP 2
Select “Intensive Chinese Language Program” under “Non-degree Program”, fill in your personal information, upload your passport (or ID card) and study plan.
STEP 3
Submit the application. When you receive the electronic offer, click to confirm.
Application Deadline: July 31, 2021
Eligibility: Non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport; graduated from high school or above; between 18 and 45 years old.
