A series of Sanyuesan Festival events were held in Dahong town, Dahua Yao autonomous county, Hechi on April 13, attracting over 1,000 Zhuang and Yao people and tourists to come together and enjoy the festivities.
Sanyuesan Festival is one of China's traditional festivals, and is listed on the national intangible cultural heritage list. Dahua has been attaching greater importance to promoting the cultural brand of the Sanyuesan Festival in recent years. Using its local advantages, the county has been boosting the sustainable and healthy development of characteristic agriculture, catering and tourism, as well as promoting national unity and progress.
The activities it held included an opening ceremony, traditional sports performances, a fair focused on local delicacies, and an evening gala featuring folk customs.
The event aimed to show off Zhuang and Yao ethnic customs, as well as Dahua's achievements in economic and social development, through culture, decorations, fun and social gatherings.
