The Sheshan National Tourist Resort in Shanghai's Songjiang district received over 270,000 visitors during the three-day Qingming Festival holiday that ended on April 5, according to the local tourism bureau.
The resort, which is home to many major tourism attractions, was listed as one of the city's most popular destinations during the holiday, according to official statistics.
The Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden, one of the most popular spots in the resort, received over 110,000 visitors during the holiday.
Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-sweeping Day, was observed on April 4 this year. It is a traditional Chinese holiday for people to pay tribute to deceased family members, worship ancestors and go on spring outings.
