The Guiyang Medicinal Botanical Garden – situated in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – kicked off its annual cherry blossom festival on March 23, where tourists can join in the fun by trying their hand at circular fan making and lantern riddle guessing, on top of viewing the enchanting flowers.
The festival runs until April 8 and visitors can book a reservation through WeChat or Alipay. The circular fan making and lantern riddle guessing activities will be held from 2:30 pm to 4 pm on March 25, March 30 and April 1.
Located on Shachong South Road in Guiyang's Nanming district, the garden is a national 3A-level scenic area which is engaged in medicinal plant conservation, research, popularizing the science of botany and sightseeing, among other things.
The garden has about ten varieties of cherry blossom trees which have white, pink, red and light green flowers.
The garden's parking space is very limited, so visitors can also take bus lines No 9, 11, 13, 21, 42, 43, 50 and 57 to get to the garden.
