Every night, tourists throng the Culture Plaza in Zhangjiajie, a city in western Hunan province near the UNESCO World Heritage Listed geopark of the same name. The visitors watch the electrifying performances of the Zhangjiajie Charming-Xiangxi Art Troupe.
The show demonstrates the customs of ethnic minority people who inhabit the western part of the province (known as 'Xiangxi'), and since 2014 it has been performed in foreign countries including Italy, Malta, and Czechia.
