Beijing will raise the limit on the number of visitors of the maximum receiving capacities of parks, scenic spots, libraries, museums and cinemas from 50 percent to 75 percent, starting on Tuesday, a senior official in city government said on Monday.
Zhou Weimin, an official of the city's cultural and tourism authority, said at a news conference that all cultural and entertainment operators should strengthen reservation policies and promote non-contact ticket purchasing.
He said limits on the occupancy rate of hotels are lifted starting Tuesday.
However, tourist agencies should not resume inbound and outbound group travel services, including tickets and hotels.
The agencies should not provide tickets or hotel services for people who have been to medium and high-risk areas in the previous 14 days.
