Wey, the upscale brand of China's largest SUV maker, launched a limited edition of its Tank 300 SUV on March 14 in homage to French artist Claude Monet, who is known for his sunrise and water lily-series works.
All the 300 limited edition vehicles were sold out in five minutes, as a sign of Chinese customers' enthusiasm for both the brand and the artist who founded French Impressionist painting.
The limited edition has a light blue color, which was repeatedly used in Monet's works. Monet's ambition of documenting the French countryside echoed to Wey's goal to empower those who hopes to venture.
In addition to the unique color, the model has embroidered logos on the seats.
It features automatic parking functions, wireless charging for mobile phones as well as electric running boards that make it easier to get in and out of the vehicle.
The limited edition has advanced driving assist functions, including the Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities, as well as the adaptive cruise control, lane keep, lane deviation warning as well as smart traffic sign recognition.
The model features a 2.0-liter engine, which generates a maximum output of 167 kW and a top torque of 387 Nm. It is coupled with a ZF eight-speed transmission. The model has nine driving modes.
