Chinese time-travel comedy Hi, Mom entered the worldwide box office top 100 on Wednesday noon, with ticket sales of 5.15 billion yuan ($785 million), according to data tracking app Maoyan. It beat Deadpool, which raked in $783 million, from the 99 spot.
The film tells the story of a young woman grieving over her mother's death traveling back to 1981 to meet her younger mother and develop a friendship. Due to huge demand, theaters extended the screening schedule to April 11.
Among the top 100, another domestic film is Wolf Warrior II, which earned $870 million, taking the 72nd place on the list.
