Ding Zhaomin, a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) from Northeast China's Jilin province, is a welder and senior technician at Fawer Automotive Parts Co's branch in Liaoyuan city, Jilin province.
This year, he has been very busy. In addition to his work in his unit, he is also busy solving technical problems for many other companies.
"During last year's two sessions, I suggested that high-skilled talents should be brought together to form an alliance. On the one hand, it will help some enterprises to tackle technical difficulties, and on the other hand, it will also help them improve the skills of their employees," said Ding.
In 2020, this wish was realized. The China Machinery Enterprise Management Association established the Great Country Craftsman Branch, which has already provided technical research and training services for some companies.
The success of the Great Country Craftsman Branch gave Ding Zhaomin another idea. He wrote down his thoughts and is now prepared to bring them to this year's two sessions.
Ding said that schools need a large number of highly-skilled teachers. "I wonder if we can get technicians like us to start in-depth cooperation with the schools, and serve as practical teachers."
According to Ding, passing on technical skills to more students would lead them to find employment in enterprises, and in turn benefit society.
